Install Team Member

Reports To Crew Leaders and Management

Job Overview

This position entails being a hands-on, valuable team member for our install crews. This role requires regular communication with the Crew Leader and Management to ensure all responsibilities and work performed is done to company and industry standards. The right candidate will be detailed oriented and have a passion for building and installing beautiful, ecological landscapes within a growing company.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Meet with Crew Leaders and Management to discuss jobs and tasks for the day.

  • Work with a team to craft installations including: flower and landscape beds, raised garden beds, sod, paver patios, irrigation systems, landscape lighting and other hardscapes.

  • Willingness to “get dirty” by weeding, ripping out plants & hardscapes, pruning, moving materials, edging, transplanting, laying sod, and using gas-powered equipment.

  • Ensure proper tools and materials are available and onsite for each job.

  • Maintain a high level of tidiness and professionalism at job sites and throughout the community.

Qualifications

  • Experience in landscape installation, hardscape installation, organic gardening, or carpentry is preferred.

  • Ability to work within a team and independently on assigned job tasks.

  • Desire to complete projects in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Four Day Work Week: Position is full-time, Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm (Friday as needed when rain-outs occur), outside in the day-to-day elements.

Hourly Rate

  • $16-18 per hour with the opportunity to receive certifications that can increase your wage to $22 per hour.


Garden Maintenance Crew Member

Job Overview

This position entails daily yard and garden maintenance for our institutional and residential maintenance customers. This role requires regular communication with the Maintenance Manager and Crew Leader to ensure all responsibilities and work performed is done to Company and industry standards. The right candidate will be detail oriented and have a passion for maintaining beautiful, ecological landscapes within a growing Company. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Meet with the Maintenance Manager to discuss daily/weekly maintenance customers.

  • Maintain institutional gardens as well as residential gardens and landscapes.

  • Maintenance responsibilities include, but not limited to, weeding, pruning, harvesting, use of gas-powered equipment and applying insect/weed controls per client contracted needs.

  • Ensure proper tools and materials are available and onsite for each job.

  • Maintain a high level of tidiness and professionalism at job sites and throughout the community.

Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining vegetable gardens and/or landscape management experience is preferred. 

  • Knowledge of organic gardening, herbicides and pesticides a plus.

  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs repetitively.

  • Position is full-time requiring extended periods of standing/walking/kneeling outside in the day-to-day elements.

Salary & Benefits

  • Four Day Work Week: Position is full-time, Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm (Friday as needed when rain-outs occur), outside in the day-to-day elements.

  • Starting pay $15/hour, dependent on experience. 

  • 3 weeks paid vacation accrued; Company Simple IRA available; Training Certifications
